A small tool with a narrow job
CaseConverterTool exists because changing the case of text should take a second, not a detour through a word processor, a spreadsheet formula, or a sketchy website that uploads your draft to a server. Paste a paragraph or a variable name, choose a format, and you are done. The result is ready to copy, download, or keep editing.
The converter handles more than two dozen formats: everyday editorial styles such as sentence case, title case, UPPERCASE and lowercase; developer identifiers such as camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE; plus decorative Unicode styles and text utilities like duplicate-line removal and whitespace cleanup. All of it lives on one screen, with a split diff view, live statistics, undo and redo, and keyboard shortcuts.
Who it is for
- Writers and editors fixing headlines, captions, and accidental Caps Lock paragraphs before publishing.
- Developers converting a human-readable phrase into a clean identifier for JavaScript, Python, CSS, environment variables, URLs, or file paths.
- Students and researchers normalizing notes, citations, and pasted source material.
- Marketers and social teams producing styled Unicode text for posts, bios, and usernames.
- Anyone who has ever received a document typed in ALL CAPS and wanted it fixed in one click.
What makes it different
Privacy by architecture, not by promise
Most online converters work by sending your text to a server and returning the result. This one does not. Every transformation runs as JavaScript inside your browser, which means the text you paste never leaves your device. There is no account, no conversion history, and no upload endpoint. You can even watch the network panel while converting — nothing is sent.
One screen, every format
Instead of hiding formats behind separate pages, the tool keeps editorial, developer, and creative cases together. A split diff view shows exactly what changed, and the live counters report characters, words, sentences, and reading time as you type.
No ads, no pop-ups, no sign-up
There are no advertising scripts, no newsletter walls, and no account prompts. The interface is deliberately quiet so you can get in, convert your text, and leave.
Fast on any device
The site is built with Astro and ships very little JavaScript outside the converter itself. It works on phones, tablets, and desktops, supports light and dark themes, and respects your system color preference.
How the conversion works
Each format is a deterministic set of rules. Sentence case finds sentence boundaries and adjusts capitalization; title case follows editorial conventions while leaving small words lowercase; developer formats split text on spaces, punctuation, and existing case boundaries, then rejoin the words with the right separator. Decorative styles map characters to Unicode equivalents, so bold, italic, cursive, and small-caps text survives when you paste it into another app.
Because the rules are deterministic, the same input always produces the same output. That also means you should review the result before using it in code, URLs, or names: automatic title casing cannot know that iPhone or OAuth should keep its unusual capitalization.
Our principles
- Your text is yours. It stays on your device, and the tool claims no rights over the content you paste.
- Do one thing well. Every feature has to make text conversion faster or clearer — nothing is added just to fill the page.
- Be transparent. The privacy policy explains exactly what is and is not collected, including the small amount of data handled by hosting and font delivery.
- Stay accessible. Keyboard navigation, visible focus styles, readable contrast, and reduced visual noise are part of the design, not an afterthought.
How the site is funded
CaseConverterTool is free to use. There are no ads and no paid tiers, and every format is available to every visitor. If the site ever changes how it is funded, this page and the privacy policy will be updated first.
