Privacy at a glance. Case conversions run entirely in your browser. Your text is never uploaded, stored, or read by us. There is no account, no conversion history, no advertising tracker, and no analytics script.
1. Who we are
CaseConverterTool (“we”, “us”, or “the site”) is a free online text utility available at caseconvertertool.com. For privacy questions, contact hello@caseconvertertool.com.
2. Text you enter into the converter
The converter is a client-side application. When you type or paste text, it is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser tab. It is not sent to our server, not written to a database, and not visible to us or to anyone else.
- No uploads. There is no API call that transmits the contents of the editor.
- No history. Converted text is not saved between visits. Closing or refreshing the tab discards it.
- Clipboard access only on request. The Paste and Copy buttons read from or write to your clipboard only after you click them, and only for the text involved in that action. Your browser may ask for permission first.
- Downloads stay local. If you download the result, the file is created on your device by your browser.
3. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, request, or buy:
- the text, files, or identifiers you convert;
- your name, postal address, or phone number;
- accounts, passwords, or payment details;
- conversion history or a profile of how you use the tool;
- precise location data;
- advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking data.
The site does not include third-party analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or social media trackers.
4. Local storage and cookies
The site stores a single preference in your browser's localStorage: your choice of light or dark theme, under the key theme. This value stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be removed at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
We do not set cookies for advertising, analytics, or personalization. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before any such cookie is used.
5. Technical data processed to deliver the website
Like any website, serving pages requires infrastructure. Our hosting provider may automatically process standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, requested URL, and the date and time of the request. This information is used to deliver the site, diagnose errors, and protect against abuse. It is not used to identify you personally or to build a marketing profile.
Server logs are retained by the hosting provider only for as long as needed for security and operational purposes, in line with its own retention policy.
6. Fonts and third-party requests
The site loads the Geist and Geist Mono typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those font files, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information as part of the request. Google's handling of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. No text you enter into the converter is included in those requests.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Once you follow an external link, the privacy policy of that site applies.
7. How we use information
The limited technical data described above is used only to operate, secure, and improve the website — for example, to keep the service available, fix broken pages, and respond to abuse. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
8. Legal bases for visitors in the EEA and UK
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website, and on your consent where consent is required (for example, if a feature asks for clipboard access). Because the converter does not transmit your text, we do not process that content at all.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data, to object to processing, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We hold virtually no personal data about visitors, but if you believe we hold information about you, email hello@caseconvertertool.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
10. Children's privacy
The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it.
11. Data security and retention
Your converted text never reaches our systems, so there is no store of sensitive text to protect. Technical logs held by our hosting provider are protected by standard infrastructure safeguards and retained only as described above. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but the client-side design removes the largest risk by keeping your content on your device.
12. International visitors
The website may be served from infrastructure located in various countries. By using the site, you understand that the limited technical data described in this policy may be processed in a country other than your own, subject to the hosting provider's safeguards.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to applicable law. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be described clearly, and continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
